The terms, before the contract
- Seat-blind. Unlimited people, no per-user metering, ever — written into the licence.
- One legal entity per licence. A group with several companies buys one each, or talks to us about an enterprise licence.
- Every feature up to and including the Firm plan. Nothing is switched off by seat count.
- The licence key is a signed file your server verifies offline. No call home, no licence server, no outage if we are down.
- If you stop renewing, the software keeps running on the version you have. You lose updates and support, never your data or your work.
- 10 hours of setup and email support a year are included; more is billed by the hour, agreed in advance.
- Updates arrive as tagged releases with a written upgrade note. You choose when to apply them.
- Your database, your storage, your backups. We never hold a copy of your data.
Licence or hosted plan?
Same team, both ways. Hosting is your own cost — we assume $45 a month for a managed database and a small server. The licence is for firms that need the data at home; for most teams the hosted plan is cheaper for years.
